Why should I volunteer?

Volunteers
Hugo Landecker and Gary Shaw will soon be removing French and Scottish broom from their Gerstle Park neighborhood. In the past, Hugo’s efforts have resulted in providing new paths for walkers, joggers, bicyclists and dog walkers. Most importantly, by working over fifteen years in the past, he has virtually eradicated broom, thus reducing fire fuel. As a shallow-rooted plant whose seeds can live in the ground for thirty to fifty years, removing the broom is an on-going and vigorous project. So many thanks to dedicated and hard-working volunteers like Hugo and Gary.
