Make a Difference Day
Saturday, October 22, 2011
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Pickleweed Park

Join nationwide Make a Difference Day right here in your own community.

San Rafael Harbor Rotary Club is sponsoring a project to re-landscape the Pickleweed Park Child Care Center in conjunction with San Rafael Public Works and Boy Scout Troop 2000. Sign in at 9 a.m. and help us clear the weeds, terrace the mound, install a small retaining wall, and plant water-resistant plants.

Lunch will be provided at noon.

Bring work/garden gloves, shovels, hand trowels, your own water bottle, and  wear sturdy shoes and layered clothing for garden work.

Pickleweed Park is located at 50 Canal Street, one block east of Kerner at the corner of Bahia Way.

Make A Difference Day is the most encompassing national day of helping others -- a celebration of neighbors helping neighbors. Everyone can participate. Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make A Difference Day is an annual event that takes place on the fourth Saturday of every October.
